"Moirang Sai" (Meitei: ꯃꯣꯢꯔꯥꯡ ꯁꯥꯢ, ꯃꯣꯏꯔꯥꯡ ꯁꯥꯏ) is an old form of Manipuri folk song that narrates the epic love saga of the Khamba Thoibi of Ancient Moirang, a province in Ancient Manipur.[1][2] Currently, it is dying among the present generation of the Manipuri ethnicity.[3] Recently, Mangka Mayanglambam, a legendary folk singer, is reviving the nearly extinct music art form.[4][5][6] After her dedicated efforts, there have been consecutive workshops organized to preserve the age old tradition by many organizations and associations of Manipur.[7][8]
