Kumkum Munshi was one of the most prominent painters in the field of Rubber-Solution based artistry in Kolkata. He was born to artist Annada Munshi and Jayati Munshi and one of the proud members of the Munshi family of Paikpara-Talapark .[1] Not only in Rubber-solution based paintings, Munshi was well skilled in other art forms like realistic paintings, graphic arts and abstract arts as well.[2][3]
Inspiration[edit | edit source]
Munshi was highly inspired by the artistic approaches of legendary American Painter Paul Jackson Pollock, for his unforgettable contribution in the field of abstract expressionist movement.
International recognition[edit | edit source]
Munshi's artistry was highly praised in Europe, especially in Scandinavian countries.
Demise[edit | edit source]
On 27th August, 2001, Munshi breathed his last in Talapark, Kolkata, at his own residence.
