			Being one of the major Diesel Loco Sheds in the [[Northern Railway zone]] various major and minor maintenance of Diesel locomotives are carried out here. Diesel Loco Shed, Tughlakabad is also the one and only shed that holds the [[Indian locomotive class WDP-1\|WDP-1]] class of locomotives. Like all the other sheds DLS TKD does regular overhauling, washing and painting of locomotives.
