Education
Vijay Kumar is a Physics graduate[1] from St Stephen's College, Delhi University (1972-1975) and completed Master of Business Administration[1] from Faculty of Management Studies - University of Delhi.
Career
Kumar was a C.E.O of Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty from 2000 to 2010,[1] where he did an implementation of the Community managed sustainable agriculture (C.M.S.A).[2]
In 2010, he joined Govt. of India as Jt.Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development and Mission Director[1] of National Rural Livelihood Mission for 5 years.[3]
In April 2015, he assumed charge of the post of Spl. Chief Secretary, Agriculture in Govt. of A.P[1] and initiated a program for promoting Zero Budget Natural Farming.[4][5][6] In November 2016, Kumar was appointed as an Advisor to Govt for Agriculture and Co-operation and in charge of implementation of Natural farming in the State.[7]
