Rose Cookies is the typical Anglo Indian cookie and the favorite among Indian Christians during Christmas season. These are similar to European Christmas rosette served during Christmas eve meals.[1]
Description[edit | edit source]
Also known as Gulabi Puvvulu in Telugu.[2] In Tamil it is called as Acchu Murukku and in Malayalam it is called as Achapam. These sweet fried cookies are shaped like a rose,[3] complete with holes to represent layers of petals.[4]
They are made from flour, sugar, eggs and coconut milk and are very popular [5] in South India like Kerala.
