Puru Dadheech was born to a traditional pauranik brahmin family of Ujjain (MP). He is married to famous senior kathak guru and researcher Dr [[Vibha Dadheech]]. He has 2 sons. Harshita is a noted young Kathak performer working towards reviving many ancient and extinct traditions of Kathak along with her father in law Dr [[Puru Dadheech]] and mother in law Dr [[Vibha Dadheech]].
