In the Hindu epic Ramayana, Mandavi is the daughter of King Kushadhwaja and Queen Chandrabhaga.[1] She was wife of Bharata, younger brother of Rama.

Mandavi was the Princess of Sankashya. She was the incarnation of Mahalakshmi's flower. Mandavi also had a younger sister Shrutakirti.[2] Mandavi was married to ayodhya's king Dasharatha's 2nd son Bharata.[3] They had two sons, Taksha and Pushkala.[4] She used to take care of her in laws, along with her sister Shrutakirti when her cousin sister Sita and brother in laws Ram Laxman had gone to exile and Urmila was taking the sleep of her husband.
