History
First Aid Council of India (FACI) is based in Delhi. Indian academic and educationist Shabab Aalam is its president.[1][2]
FACI aims to promote first aid education in India. According to certain newspapers, it has started the courses after being influenced by Narendra Modi's Atmanirbhar Bharat.[1] In November 2020, the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Hindi Vishwavidyalaya established several study centers for these programs in the state of Madhya Pradesh.[1] According to a report by The Free Press Journal, the university set up over eleven academic study centers to help First Aid Council of India in conducting the courses.[3]
