Ashok Choudhary is an Indian politician from Bihar, India. He is the Member of Bihar Legislative Council since 2014.[1][2] Currently, he is the Cabinet Minister of Building Construction Department in Nitish Kumar Government.[3] Previous, he also held the position as the Cabinet Minister of Department of Education[4] in Government of Bihar.[5]

He appointed position of Working President of Janta Dal United, Bihar.[6][7][8]

Political career

In 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly election, he won from Barbigha (Vidhan Sabha constituency) as an Indian National Congress candidate.[9] Later in 2013, he appointed as Chief of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee.[10] In 2014, he was elected as Member of Bihar Legislative Council.[11] He held the position as Minister of Department of Education and Department of Information Technology in Government of Bihar from 2015 to 2017 and 2020 to Present.[12][13]

In 2018, he left Indian National Congress and joined Janta Dal United.[14][15] He appointed as Minister of Building Construction Department, Government of Bihar on 2 June 2019.[16][17]
