Hussain&amp;#039;s Grandfather Late Ch. Mohd. Yasin Khan remained Member of Punjab Legislative Council and Assembly from 1926 to 1946 and 1952 to 1962 (more than 32 yrs.). He was elected unopposed to Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1952.&lt;br /&gt;
He was the first Graduate in the Meo (Muslim) Community.&lt;br /&gt;
He was responsible for the stay of Meo Community in India at the behest of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and other Leaders, while they were going to Pakistan. &lt;br /&gt;
He founded many educational Institutions and he had been the undisputed leader of the Mewat area as a whole and Meo Community in all over the world in particular.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
His father Late [[Choudhary Tayyab Husain]] remained Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) in 1971 and 1980 from [[Gurgaon]] and [[Faridabad]] respectively. He remained MLA in [[Punjab, India|Punjab]] 1962, 1966; MLA in [[Haryana]] 1966–67, 1984–87, 1987–91; and MLA in [[Rajasthan]] in 1993-98, 1998-2003. He remained MLA from 59 Tauru Assembly Constituency in Haryana. He remained Minister in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan several times. He has the rare distinction of the only person in the country who remained Minister in three states till date.&lt;br /&gt;
He was the Chaudhary (Social Head) of Meo (Muslim) Community which is about five crore in population spread all over the country mainly in Haryana, UP, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi etc. He was associated with several educational institutions. He had been (i) General Secretary, Old Boys Associations, Aligarh Muslim University, (ii) Member, Court of AMU, (iii) Member, Executive Council of AMU and (iv) Vice President of the India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi.&lt;br /&gt;
That on the 7th October, 2008 Late Ch. Tayyab Hussain died of a sudden heart attack and he was buried on 8th octcober, 2008 at Nuh where lacs of people had gathered to pay last homage to him alongwith noted dignitries like Smt. Mohsina Kidwai, General secretary,AICC, Sh. Ashok Gehlot, then general Secretary AICC now Chief Minister Rajasthan , Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister, Haryana, Sh. Mukul Wasnik, then General Secretary AICC now Cabinet Minsiter GOI. That on the eve of Fatiha of late Ch. Tayyab Hussain on 4th Novenmber,2008 at Nuh Distt. Mewat, his eldest son Ch. Zakir Hussain was designated as the Chaudhary (Social Head) of Meo (Muslim) Community and Mewat by the representatives assembled at Nuh from all Over the country.
