Yoithongai was the son of King [[Punshi Yumoiba]] and Queen Nganurol Chanu Khambi. After Punshi Yumoiba's death around 700&nbsp;CE, the throne was passed to Senba Mimaba, a maternal grandson from the [[Luwang dynasty]].
