He has taught Economics at the University of Rajasthan, [[Indian Institute of Management Calcutta]], [[Jai Narain Vyas University|University of Jodhpur]], [[Swarthmore College]] and the [[University of Pennsylvania]]. He has acted as the 7th Vice-Chancellor of the [[Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi|Jawaharlal Nehru University]], [[New Delhi]]. Also founding member of Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology(CEPT), Ahmedabad presently one of India&amp;#039;s pioneered Planning and Public policy institute.&lt;br /&gt;
