He began dating actress and his "[[One (2017 film)]]" and "[[SOS Kolkata]]" films co-star [[Nusrat Jahan]] in 2020 while shooting for their film [[SOS Kolkata]]. Nusrat who was already married to Businessman Nikhil Jain in 2019 in [[Turkey]], separated from him in June 2020. Then around the same time, Yash and Nusrat began dating. But both Yash and Nusrat never made their relationship public only until after the birth of their child in August 2021.

Yash and Nusrat never openly accepted their relationship or never made their relationship public. Nusrat's pregnancy news broke in public in June 2020, and her ex-husband Nikhil has stated that he isn't the father of her child. Then speculations began that Yash is the father of Nusrat's child. But both Yash and Nusrat never spoke anything about it and chose to stay silent on this issue.

Nusrat gave birth to a baby boy "Yishaan" in a private hospital in Kolkata in August 2021. The birth of Nusrat's child was confirmed by Yash on his Instagram story. This only made everyone believe the rumours of their relationship stronger, but hasn't "confirmed" it yet. After a few days, the birth certificate of Nusrat's son was made public by the media, in which the name of the child was seen as "Yishaan J Dasgupta" and name of the father was seen as "Debashish Dasgupta" which is the birth name of Yash. This has put an end to all the rumours and speculations about their relationship, and confirmed that Yash is the father of Nusrat's child.

Since then, Yash and Nusrat have made their relationship public. They finally spoke about it openly for the first time on Nusrat's chat show "''Ishq with Nusrat''". Yash and Nusrat are co-parenting their son Yishaan.
