==Life==&lt;br /&gt;
Purohit was born on 20 April 1950 at [[Bhayavadar]] village in [[Saurashtra State]] (now Gujarat). He completed his [[Secondary School Certificate]] (S.S.C.) in 1966. He completed [[Bachelor of Arts|B. A.]] in 1972, [[Master of Arts|M. A.]] in 1975. He received Ph. D. in 2002 for his thesis &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Kavyano Samajik Dharm&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (Social Responsibility of Poetry). He joined the Sales department of Mukund Iron and Steel Works, [[Mumbai]] in 1975. He worked as the visiting professor of Gujarati in several colleges of Gujarat from 1981 to 1990. &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Vans Thaki Vahaveli&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (1982) was his first poetry collection which has 51 [[Geet (song)|song]]s, 17 [[ghazal]]s and 9 [[metre (poetry)|metrical]] poems written between 1968 and 1975. &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Agiyarami Disha&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2000) has 68 songs and 40 ghazals.&amp;lt;ref name=&amp;quot;AGSI&amp;quot;/&amp;gt; &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Chhalna Vagar&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is his another poetry collection. &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Atikraman&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2012) is his novel.&amp;lt;ref name= sharma/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;

Purohit has written two-act play &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Puru Ane Paushti&amp;#039;&amp;#039; (2001). His Ph.
