The '''Violet Line''' of the [[Ahmedabad metro|Ahmedabad Metro]] is a metro route of the mass rapid transit system in [[Ahmedabad]], India. The construction was started in January 2021 and was completed in September 2024.

== History ==
The Government of Gujarat approved the Phase-2 of Ahmedabad Metro in October 2017 and revised it in October 2018. In February 2019, the Union cabinet approved the Phase-2 worth cost of {{INRconvert|5384.17|c}}. The GMRC also submitted a proposal to the [[Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs]] to extend the Violet Line to construct a {{Convert|6 to 10|km|abbr=on}} elevated circular loop within [[GIFT City]]. The estimated cost for the construction is {{INRconvert|2000|c}}.
