== Early life and education ==

== Career ==
He started his career at Lohia Machines Limited in [[Kanpur]] and then joined the [[Indian Army]] as a commissioned officer in 1994. He
was also part of the Prime Minister's security team from 1997 to 1999.<ref name=":0" />

In 2001, he joined the [[Indian Revenue Service (Custom & Indirect Taxes)|Indian Revenue Service]] after passing the [[Union Public Service Commission]] Exam. He was appointed as the Chairman of the U.P.
