The main village street is divided into two retta(two) theruvu and otta(one) theruvu. The [[National Highway 544 (India)|National Highway 544]] from [[Salem, Tamil Nadu|Salem]] to [[Ernakulam]] passes through the Vadakkencherry . Because of this, the region is well connected by road to all parts of [[Kerala]] including the state capital. A number of private and government buses ply on this road between [[Thrissur]] and [[Palakkad]]. there is a private bus stand located in the heart of Vadakkencherry town named Indira Priyadarshini bus stand under Vadakkencherry Panchayath and also a (KSRTC) sub depo under [[Kerala State Road Transport Corporation]] is also located in vadakkencherry.
