==Death==<br />
V. D. Rajappan died on March 25, 2016 at 11:30 am in [[Kerala Institute of Medical Sciences|KIMS Hospital]], [[Kottayam]]. He was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressure, which led to the paralysis of his leg. But cardiac arrest was the cause of death.<ref name="decan"> </ref> He was cremated with full state honors on the next day at his house premises.<ref name="IE"> </ref><br />
