Khader is a fourth-term [[Member of the Legislative Assembly (India)|MLA]] representing the [[Mangalore (Vidhan Sabha constituency)|Mangalore constituency]] (previously known as the Ullal constituency) of the [[Karnataka Legislative Assembly]].
