==Early life==
Desai was born in [[Bangalore]] to a [[Gujarati people|Gujarati]] father and a [[Telugu people|Telugu]] mother. She is a graduate in Business Management with a specialization in finance from the National Institute of Management{{where|date=July 2018}}.<ref name=times/> She is fluent in five languages—Gujarati, Telugu, Kannada, English and Hindi.

==Career==
Desai first came into the limelight when she participated in the [[reality show]] contest ''[[Get Gorgeous]]''. Although she did not win the contest, she was offered a contract with [[Elite Model Management|Elite Model India Management]], which sponsors the reality show, before the eventual winner. She has been modeling since 2007 and has featured in over 100 commercials.

She made her acting debut in 2011 in ''[[Yeh Faasley]]'', and went on to star in the [[action comedy]] ''[[Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande]]''. In 2016, she [[voice acting|voiced]] the character of Ashima in the ''[[Thomas & Friends]]'' film ''[[Thomas & Friends: The Great Race|The Great Race]]'', and 2 years later in 2018, Desai Voiced Ashima in some of the episodes of seasons 22, 23 & 24 of Thomas and Friends. In April 2018, Tina played the role of Jenny in a short film titled 'Good luck' for ''[[Star Plus]]''.

In 2021, Desai will star in the [[Amazon Prime]] web series ''Mumbai Diaries 26/11''.
