==Usage==

This template has two optional unnamed parameters:

Where:
:{{var|given name}} is just the [[given name]] of the subject, oftentimes same as the first name. If left blank, this will default to the first word of the page title.
:{{var|type}} is used to select the appropriate explanation in the hatnote. It can be <code>patronymic</code> (default if left blank or incorrect value is used), <code>matronymic</code>, <code>surname</code> or <code>none</code>.
