Teharka belongs to the [[Sagar, Madhya Pradesh|Sagar]] Division. Teharka is the only village with two [[gram panchayat|gram panchayats]] (Teharka and Baripura) in Niwari Tehsil. It is located 78 km north of the district headquarters, [[Tikamgarh]], and 320 km from the state capital, [[Bhopal]].
