The miniseries was panned in a review for ''[[The Times of India]]'', titled "''Teen Do Paanch season 1'' (...) : an inept take on adoption with poor performances and weak script".<ref>{{Cite news |title=Teen Do Paanch Season 1 Review : An inept take on adoption with poor performances and weak script |work=The Times of India |url=https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/web-series/reviews/hindi/teen-do-paanch/season-1/seasonreview/82550327.cms |access-date=2023-06-30 |issn=0971-8257}}</ref> Another review was less negative but insisted nonetheless on the forthcomings induced by the format chosen: "There is no denying that'' Teen Do Paanch'' would have worked better as a feature film. Watching over a dozen episodes of 10 minutes each can be a little exasperating."<ref>{{Cite web |last=Khan |first=Murtaza Ali |title='Teen Do Paanch' Review: The realistic performances of Bidita Bag and Shreyas Talpade make it memorable despite shortcomings |url=https://www.apotpourriofvestiges.com/2021/05/teen-do-paanch-review-realistic.html |access-date=2023-06-30 |website=A Potpourri of Vestiges}}</ref>
