She joined &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[The Telegraph (Kolkata)|The Telegraph]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; as a [[Correspondent|Special Correspondent]] in 1982. In 1985 and also in 1987 she became the South Asia [[correspondent]] of the &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[The Sunday Times (UK)|Sunday Times]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, [[London]].&lt;br /&gt;

Subsequently, she became a [[freelancer]] and started writing for &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[India Today]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[The Indian Express]]&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.&lt;br /&gt;

In 1990 she began her stint with television by heading Plus Channel&amp;#039;s Delhi bureau. Singh presented two video magazines called &amp;#039;&amp;#039;People Plus&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Business Plus&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. She has done &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Ek Din Ek Jeevan&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, a Hindi weekly programme for [[STAR Plus]].&lt;br /&gt;
