He studied in [[Chennai]] till high school and completed his early education at the Agriculture College, [[Coimbatore]], then pursued his masters at the Indian [[Agriculture]] Research Institute, [[New Delhi]] and received his doctorate in [[Agriculture]] from the [[Delhi University]].
