==Demographics==
As of [[2011 Indian Census]], Siwan had a total population of 135,066, of which 70,756 were males and 64,310 were females. Population within the age group of 0 to 6 years was 18,282. The total number of literates in Siwan was 92,967, which constituted 68.8% of the population with male literacy of 73.6% and female literacy of 63.6%. The effective literacy rate of 7+ population of Siwan was 79.6%, of which male literacy rate was 85.2% and female literacy rate was 73.5%. The [[Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes]] population was 8,244 and 1,514 respectively.
