'''Sirbal Peak''' is among the peaks which stands unclimbed. It was first surveyed by a British medical team headed by Dr Ernest Neve in 1912, who surveyed most of the peaks of this Himalayan range <ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.alpinejournal.org.uk/Contents/Contents_1990-91_files/AJ%201990%2050-53%20Comins%20Kolahoi.pdf|title=Sirbal Peaks serveyed|publisher=Alpine Journal|format=PDF|accessdate=2012-05-01}}</ref> A [[Scottish people|Scottish]] Colonel N. N. L. Watts made an attempt in the second week of June 1933.<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.himalayanclub.org/hj/06/11/mountaineering-in-the-kashmir-himalaya/|title=MOUNTAINEERING IN THE KASHMIR HIMALAYA : Himalayan Journal vol.06/11|website=www.himalayanclub.org|access-date=2019-01-28}}</ref> He had attained more than 15000 feet, but he was caught in the bad weather and had to descend to the base camp Baltal along with his partner a local man hailing from [[Sopore]].
