Simple was born in [[Jorhat]], [[Assam]]. She is the second child of Late Sarbeswar Gogoi and Late Purnima Gogoi. She graduated from [[Jagannath Barooah College]], Jorhat. In 1998 she moved to Russia and took her lessons on [[advertising]], [[editing]], [[Film direction|direction]] at Moscow State University of Culture and Arts. She also took her lessons on language at [[Peoples' Friendship University of Russia]]. After returning from Russia on 2001 she assisted [[Shivam Nair]] for TV serial Rooh on [[Zee TV]] and worked on house call World of Entertainment.
