While pursuing his banking career, Shaurya was also part of the [[International Institute for Strategic Studies|International Institute for Strategic Studies, London]]. Shaurya conceptualized the idea of ‘Buland Uttarakhand’ and has initiated several community based projects. ==Controversies==
The publication [[The Wire (Indian web publication)|The Wire]] raised concerns of a conflict of interest between Doval's leadership in The India Foundation and his father's involvement in government.
