			Dhrishtadyumna's marriage is found in the Shanti Parva where he abducted a daughter (Shashirekha) of Brihadratha dynasty. Jarasandha gets furious after the marriage of his sister but he tries to kill [[Dhrishtadyumna]] for abducting his sister.


			[[Brihadratha]] was happy and arranged a swayamvara for his beautiful daughter, Shashirekha. In that swayamvara, there were many warriors including [[Shishupala]], Satadanwa, Asoka, [[Dhrishtadyumna]], [[Duryodhana]], [[Karna]] and others were invited. The king, Brihadratha of Magadha didn't know [[Duryodhana]] and invited him. Duryodhana had come to abduct Shashirekha as he had already abducted [[Bhanumati (Mahabharata)\|Bhanumati]] of Kalinga, and [[Mayuri (wife of Duryodhana)\|Mayuri]] of Trilokapura. The beautiful daughter (Shashirekha) came with a beautiful garland and entered the court with a beautiful smile. She was surrounded with maids and bodyguards. Shashirekha came to the first prince, but she left. Then, last she had came to [[Duryodhana]]. Duryodhana was very happy and was about to abduct her, till Dhrishtadyumna stood up angrily. Shashirekha with a smile rejected King Duryodhana and wore [[Dhrishtadyumna]], the [[Varmala]]. Karna, for not marrying Duryodhana, was almost to abduct Shashirekha. Till then, Dhrishtadyumna eloped Shashirekha, abducts her and took her to the Kingdom of Panchala. Therefore, this is considered as a love marriage of Dhrishtadyumna and Shashirekha.
