== Reception ==<br />
Film critic R. G. Vijayasarathy of IANS wrote that "Shambhu comes out as a bad film from reel one and ends up as a very poor presentation that has been released in the Kannada film industry these days".<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.nowrunning.com/movie/2560/kannada/shambu/606/review.htm|title=Shambu Kannada Movie Review|work=IANS|via=Nowrunning|date=20 October 2005|author-link=R. It may not even please Murali's most ardent fans".<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.rediff.com/movies/2005/oct/24shambhu.htm|title=Shambhu: A mess from Scene One|work=Rediff.com|date=24 October 2005|first=R. N. Deepak of Deccan Herald wrote "The director has pulled a wafer thin story to a 145-minute long film with some twists. The first half is usual and the story picks up tempo only in the post-interval part. The action scenes, songs and fights cater to galleries. The comedy track does not relate to the story. Dialogues are punchy at some points".<ref>{{Cite web|url=http://archive.deccanherald.com/Deccanherald/oct232005/movies16445920051022.asp|title=Shambu|work=Deccan Herald|date=23 October 2005|access-date=6 April 2025|first=S.
