==Biography==

Hasnain spent several years at the [[Texas A&M University]], USA and returned to [[India]] in 1987 to work as a Staff Scientist at the [[National Institute of Immunology, India|National Institute of Immunology]] (NII).<ref name=NII>[http://www.nii.res.in National Institute of Immunology Home Page]</ref> Hasnain was appointed as the first director of [[Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics]] (CDFD) in February 1999. ==Honours and awards==

Hasnain is the Chairman of the Biotechnology Advisory Committee (Government of Andhra Pradesh) and Adviser to
the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Biotech related issues. He is also the Member of Biotechnology Advisory
