'''Sengunthar''' is a [[caste]] from the Indian state of [[Tamil Nadu]]. They are also known as Kaikolar and use Mudaliar as title. They are present throughout the state of Tamil Nadu and also in some parts of Andhra and [[Kerala]] apart from the Tamizh Eezham. The considerable proportion of this community is engaged in the occupation of cloth merchants and [[weaving]]. They are included in the Central list of Other Backward Community.
