Sardar Khan's Roza was built in 1685. The tomb of Sardar Khan was built of stone and had a marble floor. The mosque was made of bricks situated on high platform, and the façade of the mosque had three pointed arches and two minarets on either side. The minarets were four storeys high, which were octagonal at the base and circular in the upper parts. This minaret had gilt balls on the top and had three large onion shaped domes, while the gateway had two domes too.<ref>{{cite book|title=Gazetteer of the Bombay Presidency: Ahmedabad|year=1879|url=https://archive.org/details/dli.csl.3354|quote=dastur khan mosque.|publisher=Government Central Press|page=[https://archive.org/details/dli.csl.3354/page/n325 319]}} {{PD-notice}}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.bl.uk/onlinegallery/onlineex/apac/photocoll/n/019pho001000s17u01783000.html|title =Nawab Sardar Khan's Mosque, on the Jamalpur road, Ahmadabad|publisher=British Library |accessdate=21 December 2014}}</ref><ref name="dna 2010">{{cite news|title=The story of how architecture in Gujarat got a Mughal touch…|publisher=DNA|date=26 November 2010|url=http://www.dnaindia.com/lifestyle/report-the-story-of-how-architecture-in-gujarat-got-a-mughal-touch-1472394|accessdate=21 December 2014|first=Hemang|last=Desai}}</ref> The tomb and mosque have been encroached since 1884 and are in bad shape now.<ref name=itm/><ref name="toi2012">{{cite news|title=Mughal icons decaying in citye|newspaper=The Times of India|date=29 July 2012|url=http://m.timesofindia.com/city/ahmedabad/Mughal-icons-decaying-in-city/articleshow/15244049.cms|accessdate=21 December 2014|first =Paul|last=John}}</ref><ref name="toi2011">{{cite news|title=PEARLS OF PAST: Need Some Elbow Room|newspaper=The Times of India|date=25 November 2011|url=http://epaper.timesofindia.com/Default/Layout/Includes/pastissues2/ArtWin.asp?From=Archive&Source=Page&Skin=pastissues2&BaseHref=TOIA%2F2011%2F11%2F25&ViewMode=HTML&PageLabel=2&EntityId=Ar00202&AppName=2|accessdate=7 December 2014}}</ref><ref name="toib2011">{{cite news|title=Neglect buries two heritage tombs|newspaper=Times of India|date=22 November 2011|first=Mehul|last=Jani|url=http://lite.epaper.timesofindia.com/mobile.aspx?article=yes&pageid=10§id=edid=&edlabel=AMIR&mydateHid=22-11-2011&pubname=Mirror%20-%20Ahmedabad&edname=&articleid=Ar01000&publabel=MM|accessdate=8 December 2014}}</ref>
