==Early life==&lt;br /&gt;
Tara Kishore Chowdhury&amp;#039;s father, Zamindar Harkishore Chowdhury, was a prominent zamindar of [[Habiganj]] in Greater Sylhet. 7-year-old Tara Kishore Chowdhury was admitted to an English school built by the [[Zamindar|zamindar&amp;#039;s]] father, Harkishore Chowdhury. At an early age, the motherless teenager used to listen to the stories of [[Ramayana]], [[Mahabharata]] and Puranas from his grandmother every evening and his love for [[scriptures]] was evident from childhood. After completing his primary education, Kishore Chowdhury secured the first position in the entire Assam province in the entrance examination in 1874 from the Sylhet Government High School. The British Government awarded him the gold medal. 20 rupees scholarship from Assam government for good result in entrance exam. Later Tarakishore Chowdhury joined Calcutta Presidency College for higher education. From there he passed BA in first class. Graduated from [[University of Calcutta|Calcutta University]] in 1885 with an [[Master of Arts|MA]] in [[Philosophy]] and a [[Law|degree in Law]]. Joined the [[Sylhet Division|Sylhet Bar]] to [[practice law]]. After staying in Sylhet for four years, he returned to Kolkata. Joined [[Calcutta High Court|Kolkata High Court]] to practice law. His fame spread in Kolkata High Court. After [[Rash Behari Ghosh|Sir Rasbihari Ghosh]] the best lawyer of the Kolkata High Court, lawyer Tarakishore Chowdhury&amp;#039;s place was. [[Narayan Sanyal|Narayan&amp;#039;s]] daily service was held at the Calcutta home. Needy students and other relatives of Sylhet district used to get shelter in his house. ==Asceticism==&lt;br /&gt;
On August 24, 1894, he went to [[Vrindavan]] with his wife and returned from there to [[Devota|devote]] himself to religious work. On June 12, 1897, he established Jandi in Vrindavan. Tara Kishore Chowdhury wrote many scriptures. In 1912, the British Government appointed him as Attorney General of Calcutta High Court He is the first Bengali [[Attorney general|Attorney General]] of Calcutta High Court. He used to send all the money he received to Vrindavan.&lt;br /&gt;

==Monasticism==&lt;br /&gt;
Appointed as Judge of Calcutta High Court in August 1915. He did not join the post of judge. In 1915, he abandoned the profession of thirty years of advocacy and left for Vrindavan. He donated all the houses and wealth of the city of Calcutta to the people. Many debtors pay off their debts. From Calcutta city to Vrindavan the train fare was not even.&lt;br /&gt;

Janmabhoomi donated all his properties to temples and schools and colleges in Habiganj, Bangladesh. After becoming a monk in Vrindavan, his name was Santadas Babaji. After Maharaj came to Vrindavan, no one ever saw him sleep, he was always in a state of meditation. He died on November 8, 1935&lt;br /&gt;
