Sankarasubramanian received his PhD in [[Physics]] from the [[Bangalore University]] through the [[Indian Institute of Astrophysics]]. Sankarasubramanian has made numerous contributions to the ISRO missions [[Astrosat|AstroSat]], [[Chandrayaan-1]], and [[Chandrayaan-2]]. As of September 2023, he is in charge of [[U R Rao Satellite Centre|URSC]]&amp;#039;s Space Astronomy Group (SAG), which is working to build scientific payloads in the missions of [[Aditya-L1]], [[X-ray Polarimeter Satellite|XPoSat]], and science payload atop the [[Chandrayaan-3]] propulsion module.
