The country consists mainly of the islands of [[Saint Kitts]] and Nevis. Both islands are volcanic and have mountainous interiors covered partly by tropical forests. Mount Liamuiga on Saint Kitts is the highest point, at 1,156 metres.

The islands are located in the Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.
