Pattabhiraman''' {{small|[[PVSM]], [[AVSM]] , [[Sena Medal|SM]], [[Vishisht Seva Medal|VSM]]}} (1946 – 26 April 2025) was a senior officer in the [[Indian Army]] who served as the 27th [[Vice Chief of the Army Staff (India)|Vice Chief of the Army Staff]] from October 2005 to December 2006.

Over a distinguished 40-year career, he served as General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the [[Western Command (India)|Western Command]], the first Director General of Information Systems, and [[Military attaché|Defence Attaché]] to [[Turkey]]. == Early life and education ==
Pattabhiraman was born in 1946. He joined the [[National Defence Academy]] and was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers in 1966. == Post-retirement ==

== Death ==
Pattabhiraman died on 26 April 2025 at the Military Hospital in [[Wellington, Tamil Nadu|Wellington]], [[Tamil Nadu]] at the age of 78. The Indian Army paid tribute, describing him as "a soldier at heart and a leader in spirit".<ref name="NDTV" />
