	In 1870, Raja Hara Mohan Dhar, father of [[Mohini Mohan Dhar]] sold the palace to the brothers Raja Ramendra Mohan Ray and Raja Kamud Mohan Ray at the cost of 5 Lakh Rupees. The Ray family rebuilt and reconstructed the palace and the ancient Shiv Mandir in the palace compund. Princess Pritilata Dhar, the grand-daughter of Mohini Mohan Dhar, was born in the palace.
