The Phase-1 of the North-South Corridor consists of 15 metro stations from APMC to Motera Stadium with a total distance of {{convert|18.87|km|mi|abbr=on}}. The line is completely elevated. The Government of Gujarat approved the Phase-2 in October 2017 and revised it in October 2018. In February 2019, the Union cabinet approved the Phase-2 worth cost of {{INRconvert|5384.17|c}}. It will extend the North-South corridor from Motera in Ahmedabad to [[Mahatma Mandir]] in Gandhinagar ({{convert|23.838|km|mi|abbr=on}}) with a branch line from [[Gujarat National Law University]] (GNLU) linking [[Pandit Deendayal Energy University]] (PDEU) and [[Gujarat International Finance Tec-City|GIFT City]] (5.416 km).
