== Life ==
Wahi was born in [[Khujwa]] Village in [[Siwan District]] ([[Bihar]]), India. His father was Syed Zahoor Hussain, who served as the regional [[zamindar]] and also worked as police inspector for several years. His father also worked at the Iranian Embassy after leaving the police department, and died in January 1962.

Wahi began writing while in middle school. During his time at [[Patna College]], his poetry began to flourish. At first his poetic style was serious, but by 1950, he began to explore more [[sarcasm]] and [[humor]]. Thereafter he continued the sarcasm and humor genres.

His major poetic influences include Josh Malihabadi and [[Mir Taqi Mir]].

Completed his High School from [[Patna]] Collegiate High School in 1930 and completed his Intermediate (Senior Secondary) from Patna College, Patna, Bihar, India, in 1932. He learned [[Arabic]] and [[Persian language|Persian]] from Molvi Aainul Huda (he was the resident of [[Patna City]], Bihār).

After passing the Intermediate he achieved Diploma in Commerce from Sufi Commercial Institute, [[Calcutta]], in 1933.

He also knows the style of a prose writer. He has written several humorous poetry in "Saathi" (Daily Newspaper of that time), Patna for several years. Periodically he had written numerous critical articles, which have been published in various magazines. One of his prose book in Urdu poetry "Bihar me Urdu Shayari" was translated in Hindi language by Bihar Hindi Sahitya in 1957 and has been published.

* 1944 Zubair Ahmed Tammania (now in Pakistan) in collaboration with him composed a poem on the poets of Bihar and published as "Anothology Vs Isharah".
* 1951-52 He compiled all the collection of poems by late Allamah Jamil Mazhari ‘ Jamil’ and published as "Naqsh Jamil".
* 1956-57 He compiled all the collection of ghazals of Late Allamah Jamil Mazhari and Published as Fikr-e-Jamil.
* In 1965, along with young poets He compiled and publish a volume of 600 pages magazine on the personality thoughts and art of Professor Late Akthar Aurenoye.

After Partition of India for better life and in search of livelihood Mr. Wahi went to [[Pakistan]] and there he received a prestigious position in the [[National Assembly]].
