==Description==
Adult males measure {{convert|20|-|22|mm|in|1|abbr=on}}<ref name="Bossuyt 2002"/><ref name="Biju and Bossuyt 2009"/> and adult females, based on a single specimen, {{convert|22|mm|in|1|abbr=on}} in snout–vent length.<ref name="Biju and Bossuyt 2009"/> The snout is rounded. The [[Tympanum (anatomy)|tympanum]] is indistinct, but the supratympanic fold is prominent. The fingers have well-developed discs and dermal fringes but no webbing. The toes have discs and rudimentary webbing. Skin of snout bears small horny spines, and there are horny ridges between eyes, arranged in triangle. Dorsal skin is covered with small horny spines.<ref name="Bossuyt 2002"/> The [[Dorsum (anatomy)|dorsum]] is light greyish brown, light brownish grey, or light-reddish brown. Dark or light red markings may be present.<ref name="Biju and Bossuyt 2009"/>

''Raorchestes griet'' has been observed in roadside vegetation near isolated forest patches or in plantations near forests at about {{convert|600|–|1800|m|abbr=on}} [[above sea level]].<ref name="Biju and Bossuyt 2009"/> It is [[nocturnal animal|nocturnal]]<ref name="Biju and Bossuyt 2009"/> and [[Arboreal locomotion|arboreal]].<ref name=IUCN/> Males [[Sexual selection in amphibians#Vocal signaling in frogs|call]] from ground level up to two metres above the ground.<ref name="Biju and Bossuyt 2009"/>

This species can be locally abundant, but it is threatened by [[habitat fragmentation]].<ref name=IUCN/>
