==History==&lt;br /&gt;
Rangkuta was one of the stupas built by Ashoka. Ashoka, who ruled from 273-232 BCE, included a significant part of the Indian subcontinent in his empire. One of his significant contributions was the preservation and distribution of the uncountable relics of Buddha.
