==Reception==
A critic from ''[[News18]]'' wrote, "Projects such as Ramyug will always be open to unfair comparisons but this is as bad as it can get. Let alone trying to bank on it’s mass appeal, director Kunal Kohli should hope that not many come across his uninteresting take on Ramayan".<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.news18.com/news/movies/ramyug-review-glossy-contemporary-touch-to-ramayan-without-the-right-feel-3714434.html|title=Ramyug Review: Glossy, Contemporary Touch to Ramayan Without the Right Feel|website=News18}}</ref> A critic from ''[[film Companion]]'' wrote, "To breathe an ancient text, like the Ramayana, with life, you must have conviction, something new to add, something new to say. Otherwise, it festers like this 8 episode saga".<ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.filmcompanion.in/reviews/streaming-reviews/ramyug-web-series-mx-player-review-is-a-pointless-retelling-of-a-timeless-tale-ramayana|title=Ramyug On MX Player Is A Pointless Retelling Of A Timeless Tale|first=Prathyush|last=Parasuraman|date=May 6, 2021|website=www.filmcompanion.in}}</ref><ref>{{cite web |title=Ramyug first impression: Kunal Kohli's retelling of Lord Ram's story misses the mark |url=https://indianexpress.com/article/entertainment/web-series/ramyug-first-impression-kunal-kohli-mx-player-7303122 |website=The Indian Express |access-date=31 July 2023 |language=en |date=6 May 2021|url-access=subscription}}</ref><ref>{{Cite web|url=https://www.thehindu.com/entertainment/ramyug-another-disappointing-entry-in-bollywoods-mythological-genre/article56833129.ece|title=Ramyug — another disappointing entry in Bollywood's mythological genre|first=Aditya Mani|last=Jha|work=The Hindu |date=May 14, 2021|via=www.thehindu.com|url-access=subscription}}</ref>
