He attended Govt. High School in [[Dungargarh|Sri Dungargarh]] for his early schooling and graduated from [[Maharaja Ganga Singh University]] in [[Bikaner]], Rajasthan.

After completing his education, Suthar started his journey as a film director in 2014. One day, while passing by his college, he saw the poster of Sand Dunes International Film Festival 2014. He made a short film called "A Short"<ref>{{Cite web |title=A Short |url=https://filmfreeway.com/AShort |access-date=2023-05-09 |website=FilmFreeway |language=en}}</ref> together with a friend for the purpose of participating in the festival. The film was aimed at raising awareness about education.
