She was amongst the few singers to earn appreciation from Rabindranath Tagore. She was among the singers of [[Rabindrasangeet]], a group of the earliest singers of Tagore songs from families directly connected to Tagore and including Sahana Devi, Amiya Tagore, and [[Malati Ghoshal]].<br />
