He was from [[Gujrat, Pakistan]] in modern-day [[Punjab, Pakistan|Punjab]] province of [[Pakistan]]. Initially he defeated the large army of Ahmad Shah Durrani several times but later on due to internal intrigue was eventually defeated by the [[Afghans]].
