Pramod Raman was born in 1969 in Ravaneeswaram in [[Kasargod district]] of [[Kerala]]. After completing his studies from Ravaneeswaram Government High School, Kasargod Government College and Kerala Press Academy, he embarked on a career as a journalist in 1990, working with ''[[Deshabhimani]]'' and ''Sadbandhu'' newspapers. In 1994, he began his career as a television journalist.
