In the [[2006 Fijian general election|parliamentary election]] held on 6–13 May 2006, he transferred to the [[Nadi Rural (Indian Communal Constituency, Fiji)|Nadi Rural]] [[Indians in Fiji|Indian]] [[Communal constituencies|Communal Constituency]] and held it for the FLP.
