As Pavoorchatram is connected by both road and rail, the town is growing rapidly in business and agriculture. The business of Pavoorchatram mainly depends upon agriculture. The agricultural goods, mainly vegetables and food grains, are brought to the market from the villages around Pavoorchatram and then transported to the different parts of the state and [[Kerala]].
